About this site

This blog site is designed to bring together wisdom from diverse sources for the best of intentions.
  • The intention is to cultivate insight, to interpret, to recall, to retrieve meaning, to stimulate further creative action.
  • The method is to encourage comparative and collaborative reflections.
  • The pay-off is to stir the sense of "Oh, now I see!" "I hear it!" "I feel that!" "I get it!"
Read further if the thought arises "I would like to know more!" or, "What does that mean?" Either is proof of the method. Both are proof of the need for the pay-off.
You are, like all of us, located in a situation. Insights gained in the action of interpretation within the situation you are in, stimulate new interpretation of any other situation. At every moment you "read" the situation you are in. What "text" do you select? What reading do you reject?
To carefully study these selected and rejected readings found within the situation you are in is to engage in what is called exegetical reflection. The word exegesis means to draw out the implications of any  given text. By reading and clashing together any given texts, unexpected sources of insight, new ways to question, new understandings arise.
